For over 14 years, Great Trethew Trekking has been a cornerstone of the equestrian community, providing exceptional riding experiences for all ages and abilities. We are proud to hold a 5-star rating from Cornwall Council, ensuring that our facilities and services meet the highest standards. Fully insured with Avid Insurance Service Ltd, we prioritize the safety and enjoyment of our riders, starting from just 18 months old!

In 2022, we proudly became Ofsted Registered, further solidifying our commitment to quality education and care. We are also thrilled to announce our recent affiliation with ABRS+, enhancing our reputation as a trusted riding school.

Conveniently located just off the A38 on the B3251, Great Trethew Trekking is easily accessible from Plymouth and throughout Cornwall. Our expansive 30 acres of gardens and woodlands provide a serene backdrop for all our activities, allowing us to offer tranquil woodland hacks without the worry of busy roads. Whether you’re a complete novice or an experienced rider with your own pony or horse, we cater to everyone’s needs. Our friendly instructors are always on hand to guide you, and we’re happy to walk alongside younger riders to ensure their safety and comfort.
